In our first 5 years of the event you have helped us raise over $20,000 to support swimming and healthy living for the JC YMCA and JC Parks
The 7th annual Great Escape Triathlon is a well-organized, but relaxed, event for first time triathletes ages 13 and up. The full course takes you from the 50-meter Ellis-Porter Park Pool to an out-and-back run to the old, historic Jefferson City State Penitentiary, the first on this side of the Mississippi River. The bike portion takes you out of town by the newer, operational Algoa Correctional Center. This is river country, so expect a hilly course to provide just enough challenge.
We are including the entire family this year. Our inaugural Great Escape Kids and Youth Triathlon will be held Saturday, June 10, at Ellis-Porter Riverside Park. We have two age groups and are working to add some adventure for those ages 5-12.
KID'S AND YOUTH TRIATHLON
5-8 for the Kid's Triathlon

Race start is 7 pm Saturday, June 10th.
Courses for the Great Escape Kid's Tri will be within the park, except for a portion of the bike ride on Riverside Drive. Kid's and youth courses can be found on the Courses page.
